Amazingly the lot remained undeveloped for
more than two decades after closure. The screen

The site, including the café and projection room
were badly vandalised but remained standing,
the virtually stripped projectors still pointing
squarely at the screen.
There were various sentiments about the drive-
in. To some it had become an eyesore, to others
it was a romantic place that held many stories,
