Deakin Cinemas also operated a weekly
show at Robinvale between December
1987 and January 1991 - this ended
when the local Council terminated this
arrangement in favour of a local person
with Council connections.
Chris Mitchell had designed and built a
portable, folding screen which is fitted
to a two wheel trailer and opens up with
a scissor action. Along with a portable
Chinese projector, this equipment is
used for occasional outdoor screenings
at community and charity events around
the Sunraysia district.

The cinema externally promotes its
programs with a 24-hour display of movies
and times with a 15 meter wide Alcatel
digital screen. This style of signage is used
on modern bus destination boards and is
thought to be unique in cinema use.
