spanning ten years and in seven
          different theatres!
            How does GWTW compare? All-
time champ for enduring popularity, it
          opened simultaneously at the Regent
          and the Metro Collins Street,
transferred to the Savoy and then to the
Liberty, before doing its first suburban
          round. Thereafter, city and suburban
releases came almost every five years,
when it was turn-about between the St
          James/Metro Bourke Street and the
          Metro Collins Street.
            The 70mm version of GWTW
screened at the East End One in 1967.
GWTW was back at the Regent for its
          60th Anniversary Season – more
durable in the public mind than any
other film - but it all happened in six
          city theatres. ★
