The Nhill Memorial Community Centre was opened by The Hon. Race Mathews, Minister for Arts, on the 20th
of February, 1986 (5). Since then the Centre has been well used. It is managed by a Lowan Shire Council sub-
committee, responsible for the operation of the cinema component. Screenings occur about once a month.
