CATHS is now on the internet! Our website has information on CATHS publications, membership, activities
and projects. Other features of the site include a cinema and theatre directory, information to assist with
researching theatre history, and links to other relevant websites. You can visit the CATHS website at: http://

The Queensland Studies Centre at Griffith University have undertaken a project to document the history of
cinemas In Queensland and have set up a database on the world wide web. This site also includes photos,
sources, reading list and information on how to research the history of picture theatres. Very impressive.

Boxoffice Magazine is a US monthly trade magazine covering all business aspects of the motion picture industry.
This website is an internet version of their magazine and has a lot of very interesting articles including the
history of Boxoffice, Exhibitors corner, films in production, reviews and theatre profiles.

Of great value to those researching cinemas and theatres Is the latest edition of Into History, a two-volume
guide to Australian historical societies and resources. First published in 1988, the authors' objective was to
produce a coherent and wide-reaching guide to the many organisations, groups and societies that exist within
Australia and which have some activity, interest or function related to historical, genealogical or heritage
matters.
