Obituary - John MacCabe by Gerry Kennedy ·
John MacCabe, a prominent member of ACTS, died suddenly in January at the age of 51. Some members of
CATHS may know of John from the 1Oth birthday convention of ATHS in Sydney, or from the Albury conven-
tion. John was a generous man who happily shared information and photographs. He recently completed the
enormous task of listing all the cinemas of New South Wales. and was an extremely keen researcher.
We extend our sympathy to his wife Rhonda and family, and we mourn the loss of a friend and fellow historian.
