Armadale The old Armadale theatre, occupied by Sothebys, is up for sale.
Belgrave Cameo Cinema 1 is to be demolished and 3 cinemas are to be built on the site.
Cranbourne Now 5 screens. Another to be added.
Melbourne Casino now to have 22 cinemas. The editor says "Why not an I MAX or OMNIMAX also?
Melbourne Forum. Last tours were held on Sunday 13th of August, prior to the change of owners.
Mornington Rumour is that a six cinema complex is to be built within next 2 years.
Preston Hoyts Northland. Future plans for 2 to 4 more cinemas.
Reservoir Cinema North. Sadly, still vacant and not looking good.
South Yarra Jam Factory Cinemas are supposed to open in October.
COMING EVENTS
August 27 Meeting - More Alan Windley films "Melbourne Movie Theatre Memories"
September 24 Extra gathering - "Annual Swap Meet", Carlton Moviehouse.
October 22 Annual General Meeting. Followed by films by Stan Gunn.
November 12 Day trip to Kyabram by bus.
December End of year social function. Date to be finalised.
December 28 1 OOth Year of Movies - Dinner & Movie. Event still to be confirmed.
