From the Editor....
The reason for the size and scope of this issue should be obvious from the
cover. A coming of age requires something special, and the stories selected for it
show the range of skills and interests within CATHS.
This is my last issue as editor. I was privileged to have been entrusted with the
role, grew into it, and was able to work with knowledgeable and enthusiastic
writers. I came to it with specific interests, and leave it with my understanding of
the cinema and theatre world broadened ten -fold.
A special thanks is due to Bill Kerr, our layout artist. The magazine always
looks good, and that is all Bill’s work.
The official journal of the Cinema And
Theatre Historical Society Inc. The other good news is that the new editor is Kevin Adams who was in the
Australia chair before me. Kevin is a former journalist and a working projectionist.
ISSN 1443-3664 • Published quarterly ‘Embedded’in the industry, he will bring new perspectives to the magazine.
