            Opposite: CATHS member Edwin Schefferle (Scheff)
          celebrated his 80th birthday at the Erwin Rado Theatre,
          where he was presented with the Society’s O.B.E
          (Over Bloody Eighty) Award by Treasurer, Barrie Wraith
          (left).
            Scheff has spent a lifetime promoting the public use
          of films, video and DVD’s. At the State Film Centre,
          Victoria he built up Australia’s largest collection of 16mm
          information films, was one of the foundation organisers of
          the Melbourne Film Festival, and strongly supported the
          Children’s Film Council and Film Society Movement.
