The opening show was "The Littlest Rebel" starring 20th Century Fox's little goldmine- "Shirley Temple".
In the 1950's the theatre would have closed it's doors for the last time, a victim of that moo stet;-TELEVISION.

It still stands today although the front is modified to suit ifs new owners image who is McKellar Renown Press Pty. Ltd.,
but it proudly still has it's name in relief, "CARNEGIE THEATRE", displayed high up on the front wall.
