Coburg West Prospect is under new management.
Melbourne Film Festival currently running at the Astor, Valhalla, Kino and State Film Centre. It is
planned that next year the festival will move to the Regent.

Melbourne More rumours are that the Regent will open tater this year.

Yarraville Sun under reconstruction. Rear section a multi-purpose and the front section is a
showroom for cinema furnishings and decoration.

COMING EVENTS

June 25 Special Invitation Meeting - A number of organisations have been invited to the June
meeting, including the Theatre Organ Society of Victoria, Society of Cinema Pioneers,
Victorian Centenary of Cinema Committee & the Victorian Movie Makers.

Talk by 92 year old former silent film musician, Mrs Adeline Mims "Musical Madness At
The Movies".

Roger and Barbara Seccombe's excellent film "Two Seats In The Circle" will be shown.
Video copies will also be available for purchase.

ANY INTERESTED FRIENDS ARE MOST WELCOME

July 24 "The Cinema Going Experience" joint exhibition with Performing Arts Museum, NFSA,
and others , now called "Jaffas Down The Aisle".

August27 Meeting - More Alan Windley films "Melbourne Movie Theatre Memories"

September 24 Extra gathering- "Annual Swap Meet", Carlton Moviehouse.
October 22 Annual General Meeting. Followed by films by Stan Gunn.

November Trip to Kyabram. Date to be decided.

December End of year social function. Date to be finalised.
December 28 11th Year Dinner & Movie. To be confirmed.
